Landscape

There are three primary ways we integrated the 7 Peaks Home into the landscape. The first is as a frame for the landscape by allowing the site’s expansive mountain views to mold the home’s form. The second is as an extension of the landscape through an entry courtyard that the home wraps around. The central courtyard provides an immediate connection to a landscape highlighted by a water feature that creates visual and audible interest that pulls attention towards the landscape from inside the home. The third is the living roof that allows the natural landscape to flow onto and across the home while highlighting how the home was designed to tell the story of its site. The peaks of the 7 rooms mimic the peaks of the mountains and orient the home to those peaks. Just as the mountains form fertile valleys where all the water flows, water flows off the peaks of the home and supports the vegetation of the living roof.
